Everyone experiences anxiety in course of life. But sometimes the level of anxiety is so high that can interfere with daily life of a person. That’s why that the aim of this research is studying the effects of encouraging training based on Adler approach on decreasing the level of Manifest and Latent anxiety. Among all third grades of high school students in zone 7 of Karaj, by simple random sampling, a school is chosen and 40 girl students were selected to randomly participate in experimental and control group. The experimental group spent 12 sessions of encouraging training. Due to the results, we can see the encouragement training could decrease the Manifest anxiety with a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test in the control and experimental groups. In the other hand Encouragement Training had no significant effect on decreasing the Manifest anxiety. Overall this study shows that encouragement training is effective on reducing the symptoms of Manifest anxiety. For reducing Latent anxiety this method is not completely enough and effective and other types of therapy, perhaps the preventive ones or some changes in this method are needed.
